EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Nobody saw this coming. After storming London’s greatest venues and throwing some of the most talked-about parties in the city, Chemistry returns—bigger and better than ever.

This is the only underground event at the world’s #1 venue, Ministry of Sound. Featuring the first London appearance in 2003 of LAB4 and K90 together, plus the UK’s biggest hard dance lineup outside of Hardhouse Academy—sixteen of the hottest DJs shaping the sound of UK clubbing in 2003.

Two rooms. State-of-the-art sound and lighting. London's fiercest clubbers. And to cap it all off, Paul Glazby brings the night to a crushing finale with his first-ever closing set at a Frantic event. Believe the hype.

And don’t sleep on the funky house vibes in the Baby Box—Funkaholic and 4clubbers.net bring the heat with DJs like Matt Williams (Ignition Crew) and Tintin (SpeedQueen, Leeds).

Sorry, but have to disagree... It was the worst Frantic event I have been to by far, which was a shame as King of the Hill was one of the very best I have been to... How can they go from being so good to being so bad in the same day?

Some of the reasons it was so bad:-

1) Too many people - The club was overpacked, i'm sure they were way over capacity...

2) The people in there (ministry regulars I think) were aggressive and would not move out of the way if you were trying to get somewhere. It took me 15 minutes to get out of the main room at one point and I was overheating badly at that point (i.e. I needed to get out badly!!). Never felt more like hitting someone in all my years of clubbing... angryfire.gif

3) The heat was just wrong! Does someone have to die before they'll turn the air-con on? angryfire.gif

4) Most of the people I spoke to next day had headaches.. This was due to the so called 'great' sound system... Also at about 3am all the music started sounding the same...

5) Unfriendly staff - not all of them though as I was chatting to one of the bouncers during the night... This is the smallest problem as there are unfriendly staff everywhere, even at Camden there is one complete arsehole of a bouncer who shouldn't be working there...

The upshot of this is that not many of the Frantic regulars (I have spoken to about 20-30 of them) are gonna bother to go to this...

These are regulars in the sense that they go to Camden or the Fridge for Frantic nights at least twice a month, sometimes even every week at the moment... The people Will should really be listening to to be honest, but then what does he care? After all, he is getting more & more people to most of his events, but it seems to be costing him the quality of the events... Frantic used to be the best night in London, they still get it right sometimes, but not really enough...

Don't think many regulars were there anyway....

And I dunno where they came from, but the crowd were wierd... they weren't Ministry regulars as it's a house music and garage club usually, so I'm not sure where they came from but it was a shame. It was really hot too...... frown.gif

I think I'll go tho - Guffy, Donna and Shan are playing again, and Gary (GRH) and the house room is mint - I know all 4 DJs, and they're ALL fantastic... esp Tin Tin - the most MINT man alive! notworthy.gif

I may well be there - day after Homelands or not! nut.gif

Yay, I can't wait for this one!!! Last time I went to Ministry it was great! I missed the last Frantic there but heard mixed reviews about it. Anyway I'm definately going to this one, no question!

So who's coming?

So far:

Tara

Tasha

Spanner

Uncle John (& Jamie I'm guessing?)

Guyster ?

Rickd ?

Hippy on a string ?

Come on people, look at this [censored] amazing line up!!!!!!!!! icon_yippee.gif

i totally agree about the heat!!! at one point in the main room, we felt a cool breeze coming from the roof and thought "At last - they found the 'ON' swith for the air con!!!" but about 5mins later it stopped!!!!

i normally love ministry - been there loads and always have a great nite but that chemistry 7 was weird!!! the sound was shite, it was too hot, too busy and too full of complete weirdos!!!

i'm going again this time anyway coz lets face it, it can't be any worse than last time! and.... IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!! bigsmile.gif

lets just hope that all the fixtures and fittings in the toilets don't vibrate to the beat of the bass quite so much this time!!

See u all there!!!!!!! wavey.gif
