i'm thinking of getting the ol' shaved on the side, long on the top, mullet-esque try-hard hairdo. with highlights. my main worry is that with short hair on the side of my hair, it might only emphasise my cheeks - my face my look even larger.

that was a primary worry - i wouldn't have enough hair left to make my head look small.

The upkeep ain't too bad, does need a trim every 4-5 weeks tho.

 

I reckon u'll be ok with it, I've got a big head too, but the length at the back helps detract from it when the sides and top are relatively short.

 

As for the highlights - go for it, maybe get lowlights (red or summat)
