Bit of a weird subject but this came up at work and I no-one's reached an agreement...

If A dead Body is dropped by a funeral Parlour and bruising occurs - would this be classed as Boilily Damage or propery damage....

I mean technically it is Body... but if theres no life in the body... surely it would be classes as Propery????

Sorry for the weirdness.... just wondered everyones opinion......

I'd say it's a moot point.

Most funeral parlours would disguise any bruising with makeup and no-one would know the wiser

Making corpses presentable, and as lifelike as possible is their business and they're bound to be used to having to do open coffins at funerals after the deceased has been through all sorts of severe disfigurement.

A bruise would be childs play to cover up for these people. Particularly as, unless the bruise is on the body's face or hands, then it would be covered by whatever clothes the body is being buried or cremated in.

At the end of the day, who gives a toss.

The person is dead, He or she ain't gonna be complaining.

property as a dead person cant claim compensation tongue.gif

exactly. it wasnt an injury on their person.

atleast thats the way i see it.

luu has a point though about the bruising
