I've seen loadsa peeps use that word, but I've got no [censored] clue as to what it means?

 

 

It just means when people aren't willing to socialise outside their own little group and snub people who aren't part of it, i.e their group is cliquey. Well that's the best way I can expalin it anyway.

Oh, so it means they don't like outsiders.

When you get a rather introverted group, you could describe them as a clique. Some group of friends who don't really like other people coming in and joining their group, etc.

 

Then if a group appears like it's a bit of a clique, then it's said to be "cliquey".

it's pronounced 'cleek' but here in the US it's murdered as 'click'

that's how i always thought it ws pronounced but kept on hearing it pronounced "click", all is clear now!
