hmmm I need your help yet again.

 

Im looking for a list of venues and possible contact information and\or website details.

 

Venues of a decent scale 2000+ ppl would be ideal and also some in the London area would prove very useful.

 

I will be very grateful for any help

What part of the country are you looking for venues in and do they need to have good transportation links nearby?

London being the main area, but Manchester, Liverpool..where ever theres a good venue really.

 

and yes, good transport links would be good

most club venus dont hold 2000+

hmmm i guess 2000+ is abit much. I haven;t been to any of the clubs so I just had to guess how big they are.

 

What im after is just some decent venues where I can arrange to do some decent events...

The Academy in Birmingham

Camden Palace - London

Brixton Academy - London

Emporium - Coalville

Evolution - Leeds

Space - Leeds

Media - Nottingham

 

Theres a few to go at.

i would definately not recommend media in nottingham, sound system is a bit crap and the layout of the entrane to the building is atrocious. can only get one person in or out of the buildind at a time. Narrow staircase upstairs which you haev to fight your way through, cos cleverly, the cloakroom is right next to the only door into the main area whee all the dance floors are.

 

In short, it is poo!

Where do ya do your events at the moment?? What kinda size are they?? I'm moving from just outside North London in Stevenage to a proper London venue. Have a few ideas and will let ya know when everythings sorted!!!

There is a place called 'The pleasure rooms' in North London, Tottenham. Im not sure if its still open but it had 3 rooms, easy get 1500 ppl in and its open till 6am.

A nice smallish venue is the way forward methinks

 

I had some wicked times in there a few years ago, it was very special

2000+? Other than Tall Trees, I'm stumped.

Are we thinking of the same Media? Im sure when i last went it was huge with large sweeping staircases

r u after a club with multiple rooms cuz alot of larger capacity clubs r v segrigated

 

if u want lots of rooms then lonodn SE1 club could be what ur after but if u want 1 larger room then camden palace might be better

im asking due to the fact that Evolution have jsut opened some offices in london and im trying to do venue research finding the best locations in the london area to do some events.

 

When we do them down here, we usually have three rooms ( two main arenas and a chill out room)

 

I guess it would help if I worked out the adverage amount of attenders and went from there, only just thought of doing that darn me and my blondness!

Mate if you want a London venue with lots of rooms there is SE1 (ex - The Drome); Bagley’s (massive - bout 3,000 with all rooms); Turn mills; etc. If your interested we're also moving to London and were thinking of getting a smaller venue and we can maybe join and have a spare room if there's any going!!! I know the London scene pretty well and can market it well easily!!!!! Personally though I wouldn't aim for such a large amount of people and go for something a little smaller. PM me if you might be interested in teaming up and let me know of the details of ur nights - i.e. residents, general sound, etc!!

sarah, the actual main bit has big staircase things, but to actually get into the building up to the main bit is small and shitty. but is quite good inside, just last time i went the system couldn't handle the music, the dj almost blew out the entire system at one point!
