I've just been playing football and I went over on my ankle and there was big crunch at which I shouted "fuck" very loudly. My ankle has now swollen up bigtime and I can't put any weight on it!

I've had injuries before and been to casualty only to be x-rayed and sent away saying to rest it as its not a break!

It really hurts! Should I bother going to Casualty or should I leave it a bit?

I'm not a doc or a nurse, but i had something similar happen to me once, and they said i had tweaked my ligaments. You need crutches if you have done that!

Go to Casualty!

Sounds as tho u have possibly broken your ankle and would get down to casualty ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!! If its swollen yes, if u heard it crunch definately YES!!! yikes.gif

OUCH!!!

If i should die this very moment,
I wouldn't fear,
For i have known completeness like being here.
Wrapped in the warmth of you,
Loving every breath of you,
Still my heart this moment or it might burst,
Can we stay right here,
Untill the end of time,
Till the seas stop churning,
Wanna love you till the seas run dry.
Cos Ive found the one i am searching for...........the one.

Thanks!!

I think I can bear it til the end of the Chelsea game, then I'll blag my brother to take me to casualty! I can't breath properly though

i know it is a piss of that u have to go to A&E and wait for an x ray, but really this will b the only way to distinguish the extent of ur injury.

it may b a pulled muscle/ ligament, but on the other hand could b a bad twist or bone break.

the quicker u get it checked out, the sooner treatment can comence.

if u have broke it and r walking then u r doing damage that may have detremental consequences.....

so get ur sweet arse tohospital wink.gif

What is this, NHS direct for clubbers?

If anybody else wants medical advice, i want money.

Just hop, its in vogue anyway.

I've done my ligaments playing football a few times and it never crunched. Put me out for 6 - 8 weeks both times too. Tried playing before it was better and I could run and even turn and kick with my instep but when I kicked the ball with the laces it bloody hurt.
