Went to see it yesterday and here comes the sad part we were able to spot peter jackson in it twice and his children. Also alan something or other was in it. he does the drawings that are most popular for lord of the rings.

 

It's more intense that the first part as it's building up to the big battle, but the fight scenes are amazing.

 

gollum/smegel is amazing in the CGI department and in some parts quite funny.

If it's your kinda thing, and you have time, read the book - the film doesn't do it justice (that is if you haven't read it already)
