I had problems with freeserve tonight thought it was just my pc [censored] up, but if others are having problems then i guess it wasn't.

i thought my problems with msn were my machine til i saw someine else put a post up about it

If I do a system restore, I lose all MP3's I have spent months d/ling (oops, sorry, I meant ripping from my legally bought CDs)

 

And I can't get broadband or even ISDN in my area, and there are no plans to install it in the next 2 years!!!

Not true - only system files are effected when you do a system restore. Mp3 files etc (new or otherwise) will not be touched. I've done it before and it's worked a treat..
