It's about 800 times faster than a modem...! (a T3 link is a 45Mb/s leased line connection)

 

 

A T1 line consists of 24 channels, each capable of 64K, for a total of 1.5 Mbps bandwidth. A T3 is 28 T1's for a total of 45Mbps. FOOKING FAST !!!

Maybe for a t1, but u'll be lookin at a good chunk of that a month for a t3 line

a 2meg leased line with a company like kingston communication is approx £20k per year, but thats to tax free establishments, for home use add the tax and get saving.

 

but for a 2meg leased line u will get around 250KB and higher (at [censored] we average about 300k and thats over a lan) download rates and and upload of the same.

 

but for pages its not that amazing, 512k adsl connection is capable theoretically of loading pages just as fast as the general size isnt that great. the only time u truely notice the difference is pure dowloads.

Yeah ok, i was only guessing scary bloody prices either way !!

not quite as scary as prices for an oc3 connection tho
