I am having one of those days today, where everything winds me up, but my 3 real hates today are

i) People who don't indicate when driving. My parents used to say that people up here (Telford) thought indicators were optional extras. I thought they were joking, they weren't. NO-ONE up here indicates, I have been behind cars for miles without them indicating, even police cars! They don't indicate out roundabouts, junctions, when overtaking, they NEVER indicate.

ii) People who are always contrary. My boss will tell you it is black if you tell him a piece of paper is white, just cos he is like that.

iii) People who don't listen to what you say "Will you get that later today?" "No, It won't be until tomorrow" "Oh, well I will phone you later today to see if you've got it"

Twatty Customers who tell me how the [censored] to do my job.

We get those, I [censored] for an overnight parcel service, and some of our customers have access to exactly the same information that I do, so when we have fecked up, they can see it on the system, and phone up to complain, but at other times, the same people "forget" how to use our system, so they phone me up, and get me to read back exactly what they can see on their screen!!!

And they ask us to send them a report every day telling them what parcels are going to be late, which they get by 9am, and then they phone up at 1pm going "What has happened to this parcel?" "It will be late, just like we told you on your report this morning!!!"

In my experience, the customer is rarely right.

You can forgive them if they treat you with due respect and courtesy (as they themselves would like to be treated), but they tend not to.

I will confess that there have been many occassions where I have made it worse for the customer simply because they were arrogant and insulting to me. However, when people have been nice to me, I have done more than I needed to for them.
