Clean Water

The long delayed works to connect the desalination plants of the island are almost complete.

...This should mean that it will no longer be necessary to purchase bottled drinking water...

The massive project, which involved laying 30 kms of pipeline across the island, passed all the tests it was subjected to last week when the piping was put under pressure with water for the first time.

In theory the new water system should be up and running by April and will deliver clean, drinkable, water to the island's taps. This should mean that it will no longer be necessary to purchase bottled drinking water - great news for clubbers!
