actually while we're on the subject of parents' music tastes, i was at the folks for the easter hols just before the weekender, and i think something like "Believe" by Cher came on the radio, and she was asking if that was the type of music they'd be playing.

 

i think it's safer that they don't know. the day my parents heard some proper hoovers, glazby-style, i think they'd just look disappointed.

it all just came together at the end of that night. i'm sorry to rub it in maria, but you missed the BEST part of the weekender, it had all been leading up to it.

 

there was the lights, the multi-coloured laser doing its thing (i'm sure it only made an appearance on Sunday night!), then "[censored] hostile" comes on and just to turn around and see everyone go completely mental to it... i'm getting the shivers again. plus on the screen behind him - you can see it in the photo - there was the credits for the visuals scrolling along, it was like everything came together at the end, and then after his set everyone was pure cheering and that, we were all even instructed to turn around and applaud the sound crew at the back.

 

you won't miss it next time, will you. will you.
