... write the 'Personal Profile' bit of a CV without it sounding totally shite and cheesy? confused.gif

Anyone got any examples I can look at to use as a template for the profile bit? grin.gif

And whats the CV-friendly term for clubbing? I was told it was 'socialising' ... But aint that a bit vague?

Are you even allowed to put that down as an interest? or are the people reading it gonna think "Oh dear ... We can't employ this chap - He's not likely to be in work most Mondays ... and if he is he'll only be good for making tea!"

hey Nick,

I think it all depends on the type of job you're going for...

if it's an office based job where they're looking for someone fairly 'respectable' i'd probably steer clear of clubbing on the CV... kind of does have negative conatations with a lot of people

socialising maybe... but it's a bit vague...

if you make music/ organise events/ etc... i.e. something you can sell a bit more... definately put that stuff down...

Good Luck with the job hunting thumbs.gif

PS - actually getting your Mum to write this bit might be th best thing after all!

I actually managed to have a bit of a mad scribble and got it looking and sounding pretty decent ... I just have to wait and see what people think I guess.

And no me mum had nothing to do with it! bigsmile.gif
