if the sun come in front of the moon it would go light

 

surely the earth lays strait with the moon and sun on either side (or have i got it completely wrong) unsure.gif

if they sun came between the earth and the moon the whole planet's atmosphere and everythingon it would be burnt away and the planet would most likely disintegrate/plummet into the sun after being caught in it's gravity well smile.gif

I don't think that the sun could fit between the Earth and the Moon.

 

The distance from the Earth to the Moon is roughly 356,614 km. The Sun's diameter is 1,391,980 km
