i got paid today. £246 for the month (i onli work one day a week!!) but i thought i was getting nearer the region of about £346. is it just the most annoying thing or what!!!!!

You pay tax based on annual income. Once you cross the tax threshold you start to pay tax, regardless of how old you are.

If you are paying 40% tax, you must be in the "I'm a rich bastard" tax bracket, I wish I earned enough to be in that one.....one day, one day.

But then I dodged it for 8 years or so by being a contractor, which was nice...

After paying that kind of tax, I'm no longer rich! I wish I could be a contractor again.... those were the days!

I am nearly always paid more than i shud be, last time i got paid i was over by 75 quid, felt lucky!

it used to vary with me when i was workin at the pleasure beach, one week they managed to pay me about £100 too much, another time they payed me too little, they could never get it right

my boss is in for alovely surprise when she finds out she still owes me £100 from last weekend for holiday pay!
