only just read these latest replies

i got the impression there were only a few people who wanted FAO back - but I can see there are more than a few and colin & others have explained well why its good to have it - so i'll create it now ...

but ... any fao's which are blatently between just 2 people will be moderated/deleted. E.g. "fao: si, subject: how was last night?" - will be deleted (as and when I or the mods have time)

true, i guess we may as well just leave the FAO alone then. the reason for not having it was so that we didnt have yet another forum full of 'waffle', and another forum to moderate. I guess there is no actual harm in having general discussion & fao. if people break the rules in either the new mods will still step in however.

you have to remember that fao's only came about because the older message boards didnt have private message systems. I know people like to let everyone else know their private details / faos but i just figured this would have been just as easy to do in gen. discussion - i've been proved wrong obviously!

I can see that 'FAO: All Tidy Weekender People" - could be useful though so FAO is back but for the reasons Colin gave about 'losing faos' in gen discussion, I think we should too keep fao as 'clean' as poss..
