It looks increasingly like my man has a won a 5 star weekend away in Newcastle (complete with a box at St James Park, lucky me..) the weekend before Christmas. Since I've never been to this neck of the woods, where can we go clubbing? Any ideas?

There are a few good clubs (can't remember the names of them though!), but Newcastle is more of a bar place, in my opinion - when i was working up there we used to just head for the Quayside. Guaranteed a good night out if you go there. Either that of if you go to the other main area, the Bigg Market (or the meat market as it's sometimes referred to as) - that's the area where alot of the clubs can be found if memory serves me correctly.

Could do the bar thing, I am not sure if we would be going up on the Friday or Saturday, and Promise is on the Friday, am I right? Depends on how many nights accomodaton we get really. Seeing as the weekend is emphasising the footy aspect, I thought I had better make it worth my while...

I live up there, it is a quality night out down the quatside if you just want some bars to get pissed. If you want a bit of a bangin night try tall trees in yarm which is about 40 mins away or there is shindig! Enjoy your stay!
