So it's Saturday night just gone and with nothing exciting to do I'm thinking ... hmm, what can the CTW forum offer ... usual hardhouse affair in London (maybe), something interesting going on in Edinburgh (way too far) and ... Gatecrasher in Sheffield - that'll be the one then!

 

Lots of excuses not to go - but to be honest, none of the them were really any good and so with a bit of apprehension, I decide bollox I'm going drive half way cross the country and go clubbing with nothing but my car cd player to keep me company. MizzyZ and a few others were there but once inside the club I was damned if I could find them.

 

As it turned out I got chatting to these really nice girls from Rotherham and ended up spending most of the night with them. The club itself was boiling and the queues a nightmare, but the music and the people - quality! and in the end, that's all that matters really.

 

Ironically, it was CTW that made this happen for me even though I met no-one from the board in there - so a big thank you to MizzyZ (for posting the thread) and CTW

 

I got back today and thought ... [censored]! yesterday I was that close to thinkin fook it! I'm gonna stay in Swindon tonight. And the moral of this story ... just fookin do it!

So the moral is u went on YOUR OWN?

I had arranged to meet MissyZ and a few others in the club but she was not carrying her mobile.

 

And as going on my own ... what's so funny about that ... I had a great nite! If it makes me 'sad' then so be it!

 

And next time you post something - If you have got nothing positive to say and just take the piss ... then don't please don't bother!

 

I think thats fantastic. I remember going to Peach vs Slinky by myself not knowing if anyone I knew would be there. Turned out that there were loadsa people I knew inside. Was one of the best nites I ever had so I agree with ya.

Thats why the site was set up and thats proof it DOES \/\/ork for EVERYONE! Nice one Colin!

there the best nights when you do things on the spur of the moment like that.. and nothing wrong with going on your tod either mate I do it most times and its usually a better night as you do exactly what the fcuk you want and don't have to worry about others... and like you found out you soon make friends

yeah well done Colin! Who cares if you go on your own, I usually find that once inside a club you tend to meet people anyway so it doesn't really matter! Go for it.

I've never been clubbing by myself... I'd be too scared of going home alone...

Yeah I think its a bit different for girls anyway, not in a sexist way but I think we have to be more careful. I don't like going home alone but I have to most the time, but I'll never forget when I was in Ibiza and I got followed back to the hotel, that was [censored] scary!!!

I've made some great friends Sat night and we're already making plans to meet up again. I'm also hoping to get them involved with CTW. Like ComfortablyNumb says, the best nights are when when you do things on the spur of the moment ... ain't that the truth!
