Sorry to keep on about the probs I've had with my no-so-legit copy of XP. I Have to get it ready this w/e ! Now I've found my legit copy of ME, how the hell do I get rid of XP and install ME from scratch ? It won't let me do it when the disabled version of XP is running, and it won't even let me go into 95 when I take that option at boot up.

 

Bet there's a really easy answer aswell.

best way to install any O/S replacing another O/S - back up your files, and let ME re format

Bollox. Well that didn't work. Tried creating an ME boot disk and trying to format the hard drive, but couldn't do anything. Didn't work with a 98 boot disk either. WHat do I need to do when I get into DOS ? And does it matter if I'm not using an ME boot disk ?

forget the boot disk. u got it on CD, original installation CD?

go into your bios, make sure your computer is set to boot from Cd, before the hard drive. put Cd in drive. might need to hit the any key to make the computer boot from the CD. then just follow on screen.
