Title - Why?

.......do some people find it easier to be angry, agressive and spiteful towards a person they say the love when the releationship is over.

I am friendly with all of my ex's (barr one!).

Ok not as in poping round for coffee and stuff, but if I saw them out I'd happily go & say hi to see how they're doing. And I still have a textual relationship with a couple of them.

It upsets & baffles me that my ex is doing everything he can to hurt me. He leaves me spiteful messages, writes me letters that say the most hurtful things. I don't understand the mentality of it. I have changed my mobile number. What else do I have to do? Move house & change my landline?

Wether it's your decission or not, breaking up is hard enough without some one telling you you're worthless & have been used.

Maybe I brought it on myself by being there for him & not cutting him off completely as others, such as his family have. I guess we live and learn.

Was it really only last week that I took the action I'd protested against so strongly? (changed my home number)

The title of this post still stands, but now my question is, Why did it take me so long?

Only a week ago I was like a plant starved of warmth and nutrition, weak and tired.

A week later I'm blooming! I feel great!

I feel like I've been free of the control for months, not days.

A word of advice from Mother Hen:

Listen to your friends (especially Miss Deputy) they can often see what you can't. And they really do have your best interests at heart.

The sad thing is we have to learn these hard lessons ourselves. At then end of the day it is only us who can change our destiny. If you're unhappy, only you can make the change.

I had to look at the big picture. The changes I made where hard & painful, but if I'd stayed it would have been ALOT worse.

Nice1 DuDu - all makes perfect sense and I'm real pleased you are happier again. You are so right that you need to make the decisions yourself though, even if you know deep down your mates are in fact right.

Definately words of wisdom, and you never know, maybe someone else can learn from what you went through.

Good comes from all things, sometimes you just have to look a bit harder to find it !
