i cant get enuf of nu nrg @ the moment

 

i've desided that 99% of all hard trance is shite. 90% of all hard house is shite. the only hard dance i can put up with now is nu nrg (and i meen the proper dark hoover fuked upness that is karim and tinrib and glazby) and techno (altho thats really a genre of its own)

proper minimal nu nrg - its like hard house but the bare basics. no stupid film samples to add novelty to it. no overly complex beet or bounce to make u bop. just a simple beet and lots and lots of energy

I'm with you on that one. I've never been a fan of this "personal visit from god"/"here comes the pain"/"we're coming in"/"have you ever seen fire in zero gravity"/"man on the moon" type [censored].

 

oh yeah and i never used to like hoovers but, errr.... i'm growing to like 'em... Still, give me techno over HH any day.

Nu Nrg for me anyday Captain and Karim r the bollox

I'm not specifically refering to any of the tunes you've mentioned, but a sample can make or break a tune, if properly placed. I've heard tunes that are ace and could get by without sample, and tunes that seem to lack that vital something.

 

It''s tunes like this that need a sample - something to tie them into the crowd, and make everybody go mad cos they know this bit ion the middle that sez: "bend over and take it like a man" just before the tune goes mad.

 

(ps. if there isn't yet a tune with a sample that says "bend over and take it like a man" could you lot please not make it cos it was my idea! Right?)
