January 10, 200322 yr CTW Members deltree prompts iirc, and with SFP on windows, u can't delete most of the vital system files anyway. I appreciate that linux has its advantages, as any OS does, but I just don't believe that they lie in the home computer market. could you remind me what the -i flag does if you'd be so kind? It's been a while since I used a linux box.

I'm pretty sure there's an option to turn off prompting, but I could be wrong, I don't use Windoze. And since when has IE been a system file ? Why can't I delete it ? I appreciate that linux has its advantages, as any OS does, but I just don't believe that they lie in the home computer market. Possibly not, but it's getter more and more user friendly especially with the advent of GNOME 2. And if you're after reliability, it can't be beaten. could you remind me what the -i flag does if you'd be so kind? That would be 'interactive' , i.e. it prompts you before each delete And thinking about it, if your system is configured correctly, you shouldn't have permission to delete any system files anyway.
