Was also quite sarcastic whilst at school, so got in trouble quite a bit.

me well i was easily led by "ex friends" (friends then). they told me what to do and put a bad name out about me but i soon changed that in my last year as i had moved away for 6 months but returned to my old school and was a changed person, people then respected me as i showed respect in myself.

At skool, I was always pretty quiet......although usually only because I had my walkman on and would rather be listening to music than working! Got bullied by a group of bitchy girls for a couple of years coz I used to hang out with a group of guys and they hated it, jealous cows! Managed to get my own back tho when we went on a skiing holiday and i pushed one of 'em down a mountain, hehehe!

When i got to secondary school it started off well. Was mates with a few of the "top lads" so although i was shy i never was made to feel uncomfortable or geeky cos i was with the right people.

 

But it all went downhill from there. I did very stupid "sad" things and didnt know it ... Yes i do have regrets but luckily i havent made the same mistakes again!

 

Gotta love hindsight too

Two words - not good

I was very shy and very open to being bullied. I was shite at school - i daren't put my hand up or ask questions in class / ask for help from the teacher or others in case people laughed. I would daydream a lot and not be able to concentrate. It got so bad i ran away from my boarding school and ended up having private tuition at home for 6 months until i finally found a school i could settle into which was weekly boarding instead of full boarding. I certaintly wasnt, and still aren't, the most independant person around - i thrive off other peoples energy and ideas and happiest amounst close friends. I found very few subjects interested and couldnt understand why half of them were necessary. I hated most team game sports as i found that i never got credit for anything and only blamed if things fooked up - i much preferred and still do prefer 1-to-1 games like tennis, squash, badminton, snooker, darts, skiing !

 

I was much better at college where i was learning the only subject i was interested in - plus it didnt feel like a chore. I was also able to go home each night and see my sisters !

 

In the [censored] place now I now ensure that I ask lots of questions and in return share as much of my own knowledge as possible with others - everyone grows and learns together. I have NO time for people who are over-protective of their knowledge! I also find it very easy to spot the bullshitters who use about 5 acronyms in every sentance!

 

Dont do what i did for christs sake - I reckon i set myself back about 5 years by being too shy to ask questions. Also if you have a gut feeling that you are good at something the chances are you bloody well ARE good at it so go with that feeling - if 100 people put you down when you [censored] up - so what - you try again until you get it right. Throw yourself into problems and learn by your mistakes - you will be far better off long term than the fools who choose to blame others for their own mistakes.
