Can anyone tell me what is to be ticked and not ticked in this configuration panel ?

 

I am getting really bad pop ups and things being automaticaly installed on my PC which is being a bit of a mare for me at the moment.

 

I remember reconfiguring my ActiveX at one point as I needed to install something on my pc - since then, I have been getting all these pop ups.

 

Before anyone says "instal Google Toolbar", well I have had it installed for months - and it aint doing shit.

im not actually sure what setting tho, i just have norton internet thingy installed, which is a complete bitch since it blocks and scans eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeverything.

I regret ever installing the thing.

 

Im going to uninstall it and install Sophos tomorrow I thinks.

 

Just gona instal SP1 on my PC aswell.

Also, the banners on ere are coming up as PCBD and each time I come to the home page, it passes through a search page first :s :s

install this and run it .....

i just tried to download that Ian as I think ive got a trojan & it says this program has expired?? any other suggestions or help??

Maria, SP1 wont get rid of the popups that you are getting, but SP2 will do

 

Its only out as a Release Candidate, and not out on proper release until later this year, but i run it at work and at home and it does the job nicely.

The banners on ere are coming up as Page Cannot Be Disaplyed and I cannot open any of the hyper links on ere - but can on others :s
