You've got an X5DR, cool, I've got an X5D, which I find makes a great workhorse (esp as I don't do dance music). My set-up at the moment is Athlon 1GHz, 512Mb, Cubase VST, Reason, X5D, Emu ESI-32, Behringer 2604A (I think, 16Ch mixing desk), Alesis Studioquad 2, and a pair of Absolute Zeros (powered by a retail separates amp). I am looking at getting a decent soundcard (maybe the Delta 1010, or something like it (not sure if I need that many outs, need it mainly to get the audio into Cubase).

 

The best bit of kit I have is my best friend, who is a very talented musician and vocalist, and sexy too, and wants to be in a band with me

lol...i actually want to sell my x5 cos i never use it...same with my yamaha sampler...theyre both collecting dust...hehe

 

At some point I was looking at getting an X5DR cos a fair few of my songs are based around its sounds, but I also use it as a controller keyboard, so I could use the DR as a sound module, and the X5D as a standalone for live performance....but it will be a few months before I have the spare cash for one
