Thats NO excuse.

 

I'm a pit boss in a casino and I never get pissed off or start swearing at people for incompitencey. If someone does something wrong (depending what it is) they could lose thier licence, my licence, the casinos licence and the entire company its licence and it nearly came close a few weeks ago.

 

There's a HUGE difference between being good at your job, being picky and being stuck up your own arse.

he has got a very foul mouth & not a lot of respect....until people threaten to walk

 

but thats whats got him where he is today

 

iv worked along side agro chefs (scottish ones are the worse ) but its because nothing other than perfect will do, but iv also been a head waitress & you can feel the wrath of the chef even more feel sorry for that jean pierre bloke that works for him

 

still.....it maked work more exciting & the free meals were worth it,

Wonder why young chefs are queing up to work at Ramsey's restaurants then if he's such a lovely person ? Just cause he doesn't tolerate twats doesn't make hima phsyco. He praises peeps when they've done well.

probably because they seek fame or something & the fact he is famous, but lets face it, firstly would you really, let your boss speak to you like that?? & secondly, is he not playing for the camera abit??

no trust me chefs are like that, especially if you have a reputation like that, hes a perfectionist.

 

you have to be like that to run a good & efficient kitchen/resturant, talking to them like we talk to each other wouldnt last in a kitchen, you need to shout to be heard & give out praise when its needed, you get to the stage of not listening to the shouting but looking forward & taking in all the praise & respect when things do go well

Thats crap. There is NEVER any excuse to treat people like shit. If you dont like the way someone is doing something then you should give them something else to do, you shouldnt belittle them infront of everyone just to make yourself seem better.

yep, there is being firm etc & being damn right rude & he is frankly just rude!!

its a TV programme ginge...thats why he hasnt got experienced staff, thats the whole point

 

people in the catering trade & those who want to make a career in the profession would kill to work along side someone like Mr Ramsey, if you want to work under a person like him then you go along with his way of running things, some people would consider it a privalidge to work with him, i know i would, but then again im used to working under conditions like that, i can take disapline

Dont get me wrong...I'm all for discipline but I'm against being an arsehole just for the hell of it.

 

Like I said, my work is difficult but I dont start shouting at people for doing a bad job, I just get them to do something else.
