Blimey that is cheap. I wonder how professional the job is (the website is a bit amateurish). Bear in mind that anybody could start up in that business - those vinyl cutting machines "only" (!) cost about 5 grand these days.

That said, for £14 I'd give it a go! smile.gif

I think what your on about are Acetates, which wear out after about 15 plays?

This bloke allegedly cuts on proper vinyl.

does anyone actually still cut with Acetates then?

granted it was years back when i 1st heard about them, when the technology to cut vinyl wasnt affordable

I believe so, but it's becoming less popular now more clubs are getting CDJs and so on.

The price of "cut it yourself" machines, which cut proper vinyl, has come down a lot over the last few years. I believe you can get a machine for about £5k.

How good the quality is, I don't know. Presumably it depends how "pro" this guy is - whether he takes the time to set up the machine for your track, to get optimal levels, and so on.

It's hard to believe these ~£5k machines would produce results as good as "proper" mastering studios. But for £14, it might be worth a go anyway...
