QUOTE (Ginge @ May 26 2004, 18:23)
Never saw the point of History coz I never planned to be a historian, PLUS whats in the past doesnt matter anymore.

French ??? Why bother. I dont intend to live there or ever BE french.

Geography...waste of time...I know where I am and where I'm going and thats all that matters to me.

Religeous Education....I'm a fookin ATHEIST. Totally wasted on me.

The past is one of the more important things, how else do you plan on not making mistakes again? it's how things ahve shaped the world into how it is today.

As for french i was never particularly good at it but offering ti at school is good for the people that are able.

Geography is not just about places...

As for religious education, asl long as it isn't preaching then i found it quite interesting and i think that if people knew more about each others cultures then it would help a lot more to reduce tensions and ignorance in the general population.

The past isnt important to me. You cant change the past. Leave it where it is.

I was good at french but I still never saw the point of it. Like I said, I dont intend to live there and I'm not planning to be a translator.

I know geography isnt just about places. It's also about catching up on missed sleep.

As for Religion, like I said, I'm an atheist. Cant stand being told about things that dont exsist. I believe in Jesus and I also believe he was just a brilliant con man.

They're just my opinions, I know what you're saying and fully understand where you're coming from. I just wish they had better things on the curriculum, things that could get you through life easier.

school has very little bearing on what most people go on to do with later in life, may as well just choose some subjects you enjoy and not worry about it. GCSEs were a piece of piss anywyas grin.gif

thought the idea of school was to turn you into a human being who knows little bit about what goes on in life, the universe and everything, with enough appreciation of it, to not go out and fuck it up.

college is when you start learning useful stuff that will make ppl pay you £ later on.
