cheers, im getting there although i think im going to need some 'artistic' input because i can't make riffs for shit lol.gif

neither can most hardhouse producers if we're honnest

hardhouse seems to be more about the energy than anything else these days.

basically few hardhouse producers seem to spend ages perfecting their riffs with interesting sounds and fx as the subtelties will be missed in the over all tune. where as in trance, the emphasis is placed more heavily on the riffs so more time has to be spent on them

thats the impression i get ne ways. i'm sure ian will correct me if i'm mistaken

i don't know about that, theres many a time where i'll be listening to a tune that i've listened to many times before and notice bits i hadn't heard before. even more now since i'm trying to learn how things are done/put together

could it possible be because *shock horror* they are different styles of music??

In that aspect of arguements, I could slag techno off and say its not as good as house music as the producers never spend any time working on vocals...

simple fact is, they dont need them - same as hardhouse doesnt need complex riffs and leads like trance does

want that my point chris rolleyes.gif

btw chris - i never slated hardhouse. i simply said that complex riff isnt as big an issue with hardhouse

maybe next time you should read the post your quoting more thoroughly before posting a reply

i admit it wasnt worded the best way, buit even after re-reading it 3 times i cant see how you drew the conclusion that i was commenting on hardhouse clubbers interlect unsure.gif

all i said is the subtelties of complex riffs gets missed in a record thats more about energy than trance.
