OK, basic trouble shooting, without touching any settings, remove your PC connection, and plug your decks back in, do you get sound?

 

Then remove the PC connection at the PC end, and plug in some headphones, have you got sound

 

If you get sound in both instances, the fault is the cable/cabling, if not, then you have found the source of your fault

All i was suggesting was that if you set it up the way i said you wouldnt have to keep changing it over. the sound from your pc would run thru your mixer like your decks

if not, then you have found the source of your fault

Try putting your pc output into your mixer (line) then just run your output from your mixer to the hi fi.

 

Works for me

 

if she cant hook her pc to her hifi then it will be entertaining her trying to hook all 3 up

All i did was remove 2 leads...like i do everytime i go on my decks and then put them back in and get sound successfully. I don;t need to reajust any other wires.

Buy a longer lead and set it up the way i said. It saves the hassle of having to change it over everytime you play your decks.

things sometimes suddenly and inexplicably break. but then they work again.

 

my mixer decided it wasn't actually going to switch on this morning. i thought the foreign bird from upstairs had put a curse on it after she moaned about the noise last night, the bitch.
