This is true - I started with a pair of Kam belt drives which were total wank! Had them for 2yrs before upgrading to 1210's and suddenly mixing becomes fun and not a fight against the equipment lol

 

Buying some techs will be the best move you can make m8y - your mixing will improve 10-fold overnight and then you can finally make the 'perfect' demo and start getting more gigs (judging by what im listening to, you are ready now tho!)

yup - i seen that charity thing, and good luck to it!

 

and all i can say to the comments regarding my mixing in the future is "yay! i'm up for it!"
