Or mebbe, if ur on 56k it may take sum time to load. Im on broadband and its quite suprising how long it takes to load!

Moo, how do you explain that I'm on BlueYonder Boradband - the fastest possible internet available - and that doesn't have it. So shove your 56k modem theory up your arse where you like it.

It works fine for me as well & we have firewalls at work!

i cant connect to these chat servers from work unfortunately - i expect half the people to be able to use this at work. Should be ok for everyone at home though ?

 

There is no better solution at the moment i'm afraid as i'm not allowed to install a local chat script to run on our box as it was killing the server before, and un-necessarily.

 

This is a 'free' chat - the same company does other 'options' which cost extra, but have lots more features - may upgrade to one of these options later on, if people use this...

 

Biggest pain in the ass right now is that you can change your nickname in the chat - which gets very confusing ! WARNING: You may not actually be talking to who you think you are talking to - for example, I could enter the room as 'SarahPVC' if I wanted to - I'm going to try and change this so usernames are authenticated properly.

I cant use it in work either - but thats a good thing really.

its near impossible to find a free client which works on all browsers / OS - i've been looking for over a year now!

BTW - the other reason I set this chat up was so I/others can use it whilst abroad (e.g. Ibiza) - especially when in Internet Cafes who dont have MSN Messenger installed / allow you to install it. its better than no chat at all in my mind.

thats cos ur on boradband not broadband
