Got a letter to say my libary overdue fine is now £31.00

What book is it? If it cost more than £31, keep it. If it costs less then buy them another copy.

 

Either that or say that you have taken it back and charge them for the hassle.

You may aswell buy your own copy then.

 

Go to the library with a friend (walk in seperately), give the friend the book, you go to the counter and complain that you've been charged for a book that you've already returned, get the friend to put the book back where it should be, when you've complained ask the clerk to take you to where the book should be to prove you didnt have it.

 

Think that'll work...it did at school and college.
