So do you think we are all guided by the hand of destiny or ruled by the twists of fate?

 

Is the life of a human pre-destined before birth or is it all so much half-chances and near misses that nothing is certain?

 

And can either destiny or fate be altered by the person affected - if not should we all just give up now and sit back an enjoy the ride?

 

Or am I talking sh1te?

 

I'm sorry but you make it sounds as if destiny and fate are mutually exclusive whereas they are virtually the same thing.

from eternity. Often personified.

 

Destiny. n

I. As a fact or condition.

1. That which is destined or fated to happen; predetermined

events collectively; = fate n. 3a.

 

Therefore, sorry to say it is a pointless question.

 

Life is about making choices and seeing what happens. Fate is garbage. Shit just happens a lot of the time for no rhyme and reason. Other times it seems like it happens for a reason but that's just because amongst any number of hugely random events you can always find some sort of pattern.

I believe there are certain things that a person is to achieve while alive, whether this is determined to the persons "sprit" or by a higher powerful being is anybodys guess.

 

I believe that there are many different paths that a person can take in a lifetime to work towards these goals. The paths that are chosen are made by the individual...

 

Some people believe that as you progress through life you have a spirit guide, who helps you in making these choices, but I havent quite made up my mind on that yet.

 

Your fate is your destiny.

There is only one possible outcome to a decision.

 

Nothing is random (random not being that random).

 

Everything is determined by actions taken in the past, which in turn were based on actions in the past...
