Right guys, I have a Trojan horse, Downloader.DYFICA.2.R in c:/windows/system32/vviewer.ccx

 

Im a complete spaz when it comes to pc's etc, can anyone tell me how I can get rid off it & for free if poss, I did have a trial prog called the cleaner which was ace, but was only a 30 day trial, I have AVG, adaware & spybot, but these dont seem to be picking it up.

 

Any suggestions please peeps, cheers x

 

 

adaware etc might need the virus definitions updated or can yuo reinstall the cleaner?

Aaron, just running AVG at mo, do I need to delete all my other things out, like AVG & adaware??

Nooo this one is free and runs within the browser without interfering with anything else

I've had the trojan horse for months now - AVG picked it up tho as far as i know it hasnt caused any probs to the pc - jsut now & then the box comes up saying its got the virus & hav to minimize it, it comes up lot less frequent than it use to so hoping it jsut fades away really!

try the link Aaron has posted Tash, cos trojans can cause shit lots of probs if not delt with

i've searched for a cure for that trojan that you have, cant find anything on it in google tho

oh thanls alot MArk, yeh, I asked a mate on HF & he said the same, that he couldnt find it!!??

 

I also ran a free scan thing, that found a fair few diallers, porn ones too, my daughter is grounded Not sure if ive got them off tho??

it shuld have cleaned it for you aswell, so u should be safe

all done, nothing found, but the damn trojan popped up still, but Shenlong has kindly offered to step by step guide me through, getting rid

 

Think it mayve tooken a while cos I had other things running too
