She's awful.. really patronising and she forgets i have been workin in the food business longer than she actually has and tells me how to do my job right. Im handing in my notice this week but should I jus tell her i'm leaving, or wait til the busiest day of the year next week and tell her about 9.10am that im not coming in again to get her back 4 all the humiliation she's put me thru?

And risk loosing money ? not worth it

I would look for a job before deciding to leave her in the [censored]. Untill then I would personally stay where you are, unless you can manage with no money to support you?

 

i know how much satisfaction you can get by telling your boss to fook off but it can cost you . Remember that you wont get a referance off them either . just be carefull .

This is going to sound very grown up, but i don't think its worth making enemy's with people as you never know if you may need them in the future.

 

In the future this bitch of a boss may work for a different company where you want a job. Just imagine if you didn't get it because she remembered the way you quit this job.

You could go for an in-between option....

 

Firstly though, I'd recommend that you make sure you have another job to go to - I wouldn't burn bridges then find out you're out of work and can't afford to live... (I mean can't afford to club).

 

Assuming that you do have somewhere to go (and get this sorted ASAP), write a full letter of resignation stating that due to unforseen circumstances you would be grateful if she could release you the day before the busiest day of the year. Be very sincere in offering apologies knowing that it is short notice, but explain that you really do need releasing then.

 

In this way, she may not be happy that you're leaving when you are, but she won't look on you any more unfavourably than if you gave her a longer notice period...

And the place I did it with (that wanted a months notice) got 2 weeks... *And* I even ended up working back there almost two years later for a year....
