Beckie just called me to say that her office at NTL (Manchester) was burning down!! omg!

Beckie is ok, but she said the building was toast. Parts of the roof has collapsed, and that the smoke was getting so bad that it might affect the airport nearby!!

joking aside though its terrible! the whole roof collapsed onto some cars, there were ten (tasty) fire engines, ambulances!! the works!! i leave on friday but looks like that will be it now!! its buggerd!

 

maria- they are diverting calls to other centres ha ha ha!!!

omg lol. some ppl have all the luck of work burning down. glad u werent hurt! how did it start?

they think it was an electrical fault to do with air con and heating - but it was in the roof. when the firemen first came there was nothing they could do cos it was too dangerous. will probably make local news cos of the airport being so close. it could affect the planes taking off/landing. oo-er!

OH MY GOD MAYBE THE FIRE SPREAD TO THE WALES OFFICE AND THAT'S WHY WE HAVEN'T HEARD FROM MARIA!!!!!!
