Posted May 14, 200322 yr CTW DJs right - my mum is talking me into getting these £60 ear plugs that r ment to be scientifically designed so u can hear convos but it dampens loud noices. she said she would pay 4 em as well i've been seriously considering wareing plugs into sum venues 4 a while now but i wanna know if these proper designed 1s that r ment to protect ur hearing r ne cop 4 clubbing compared to the cheepy 1s u get in boots that dont actually protect ur hearing, just make it less loud Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munchMSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.netAOL - MangaMorganOnline mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/

May 14, 200322 yr CTW DJs The more expensive ones are designed to cut out the high frequencies better than the cheap ones. These freqs are the ones that do the damage. I have a pair and wear them DJing sometimes and they do help. LiamStyles Bet you look good on the dancefloor *LiamStyles - mixes on rotation* Current mix "No Concept Of Time" CLICK HERE

May 14, 200322 yr CTW DJs No, the music will still sound tops, i am able to mix when i wear them. Will stop you from getting tinitus aswell, am seeing more and more ppl wearing them. Sometimes if the club system is a little too trebley and theres a bit of distortion, if you wear them it will sound better as your cutting out the really high frequencies causing the distortion LiamStyles Bet you look good on the dancefloor *LiamStyles - mixes on rotation* Current mix "No Concept Of Time" CLICK HERE
May 14, 200322 yr CTW Members liam, that looks like really good advice and interesting about the treble thing!! i just read this post and considered getting some too, and i'm a wee bit stoned, and the rolling eyes smiley isnt there ne more!!
May 14, 200322 yr CTW DJs My mate is 30 and has dj'd nearly every week for 6 years, and now has a constant ringing in his ear (tinitus) He says it keeps him awake evry night and is therefore always tired. I dont want that [censored] to happen to me, so wear my earplugs more and more now.
