I thought for large parts of the match they were the better team and I think they can hold their heads high even tho they lost!

 

To only lose 1-0 to a club with a team probably worth 10 times more and for their defence hold world class srtikers like Henry and Bergkamp at bay with a 21 year old playing only his second senior match in it is a massive feat!

 

Would of been nice to see them win it as it does get boring when the same teams win it all the time but to be fair they were always gonna be up against it against Arsenal who, although they didnt win the league, are the best team in the country!

 

btw I aint a Southampton fan! (My old man is tho!)

cardiff city (div 2 at the time) beat leeds united in this way last season - i know this is totally irrelevant but i just thought i would bring it up! hehehe! proud of the lads!!!
