What happens in someone who's heart is on the wrong side of their chest? I know someone who's heart is on the right-hand side of their chest. Would their right lung have three lobes and the left two, or would their left still have three and their right two?

 

Well I know of cases where some people have all of their internal organs a mirror image of where they normally are, so I'd take a guess and say, everything is reversed.

 

And the only reason I know all of this is cos I was nearly doctor neet, I don't have an unhealthy fascination with internal organs!

i'm probably wrong but i thought they were symmetrical, and that the right hand just has to pump up the body (or down) so has to have more oomph. i dunno
