This Wednesday, 9th June at 6.58pm, a Mobile Club is going to

break out on the main concourse of Victoria Station.

 

The way Mobile Clubbing works is that a large group meet at a

mainline railway station in the early evening. They walk around

listening to music on walkmans (everyone listens to their own

music) and then, at a pre-agreed time (6.58pm on this occasion),

everybody suddenly starts to dance.

 

commuters stand and watch in amazement. mobile clubbers dance on

their own, listening to different music, in different styles and

they completely ignore each other. "if anyone asks, you're having

a dance and don't know what everyone else is up to"

 

the last MC was at London Bridge and about 45-50 people turned

up. usually people dance for around 45 mins but that one was so

good people stayed for over an hour and a quarter.

walkman, funky music that makes you want to dance, dancing shoes,

and a handful of crazy dancing friends.

And this does sound well fucking funny. Imagine the look on people's faces when 18.58 comes & loads of people just start dancing across the station!!!

when i was in poland they has a double decker bus (like the twist bus) but it had decks and lazer and lights, people were dancing on the roof...fucking nuts....i got a picture of it, so will post it up when i get film developed...it was well funny.

 

they have actually asked me back to come and play on it for the night...ha ha
