no, because they need to maximise profit and interest from advance ticket sales, by creating a sense of hype around an as-yet unknown product.

Nah, you don't want something you can't have if you don't know what it is...

 

There's no realy "hype" around an unfounded product. Now if they started to release some details, along with a few clues and a few things that would make people interested - that would be hype.

 

What they're doing at the minute is bad marketing - they're pissing people off by spamming them about nothing. This actually gets peoples backs up by not telling them anything, and so starts polarising them against the event from day one.
