As far as tactics go for getting your money back:-

 

Posting an FAO for Claire to settle up and then when that didn't work try another, etc... = Good idea didn't work though.

 

Posting an FAO for Claire with the knowledge that she isn't going to be here to read it = Pointless.

 

Why not look into what can be done by the law, nothing else seems to have worked, if Sophie has all the records of the what has happened then I'm sure something can be sorted out, debt collectors could be useful.

The plain fact of the matter is sophie's been ripped off and had the piss taken out of her big style.

She's lent the money to a girl she probably did'nt even know that well at the time,and for her good nature and trust she's just been spun a load of bullshit ever since.

 

In my book,that ain't nice.

 

Maybe she won't get the money back,but if there;s one thing this thread has proved is to be very careful who you trust in future.
