back to the topic - i have to say, 5th track in and i'm pretty disapointed with the cd. i think the mixing is piss poor by fergies standards.

 

shame really as i know he can play techno really technically well (heard it 1st hand @ glasto!) but this cd (or the 1st 5 tracks ne way) just has the worst timeing i've every heard fergie play

I thought the mixing was sketchy as well, And also I didnt think it was the most original of track selections.

 

Last time I saw him was at Firefly in Nottingham. He played some good tunes, but over scratched, and his use of the DJM-600, and general mixing was completely put to shame by Umek, who followed him.

 

As for selling out, who really gives a sh*t, I think he's a good stepping stone between people who dont really know what techno is and stereotype it and the more established techno dj's, eg umek, dave clarke, ben sims, ade fenton, danilo vigorito etc... and makes the music a bit better known.

Can't stand techno normally, but this kept me awake when visiting friends at the w/end. I enjoyed it. Might see him at GG if he doesn't clash with anyone else I want to see.
