does any1 else think that this subject no longer being on the national curriculum is turning us into a nation of people who eat ready made meals and fast food and never cooking properly uhm.gif

I was going to post a gag about flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality but it's just flogging a dead horse.

I had to endure Home Economics at school, I've been left traumatised by the whole experience and unable to cook anything more complicated than beans on toast.

So to answer your question, it never really worked when it was being taught and I think contributed to more people using the Microwave.

I did Home Economics: Food at GCSE and thoroughly enjoyed it. Fair enough, I only took it cos the teacher was the fittest woman I'd ever seen in my life but I think it's a good laugh as a subject and provides you with many practical skills.

I do think that most people saw it as a doss subject and chose not to learn from it.

I learnt most of my cookery skills at home, from wanting to cook myself and using recipes or picking up tips from family or tv shows.

Laziness is what is making this nation full of fast food and ready meal addicts, nothing else.

I like High Explosives too. Love the smell of Napalm in the morning.

We had to invent a dessert for HE at my school and I made up one called 'shit surprise'

It was chocolate ice cream (diarrhoea), chocolate drops (rabbit poo) and chocolate sponge

I got in shitloads of trouble for it
