its not hard to change ur avatar really and u dont need posts to check surely u only need to look at a previous post uve made to see if its changed or not?

If you think you've changed it and it still looks the same then just press Ctrl + F5 to refresh the screen. Your PC doesn't always refresh so that might be the problem.

if uploading a new avatar you must ensure its no more than 80x80 pixels

Your avatar *has* changed now...

 

It may well be your cache - even if ctrl+F5 don't work. Clear out your cache fully, and you should see it... Alternatively within an hour or so all should be fine...

i always click the refresh key on the browser to re-load images after changing them - usually does the trick
