hardcore has its obvious gimmics. i'm not even gonna start on em as its bloody obvious to even the nieve.

 

but hard house is going the same way. imo it never used to be cluttered with as many dodgy bootlegs/remixes, crap promotions etc. but then i'm only a youngster to hardhouse so i'm still a bit nieve to it all

 

ne way - u look at the more down tempo music and u can hear the creativity. no gimmics! just pure intellegent, creative music.

Hardcore, techno, Funky House, Breakbeat, Trance etc. all have millions of bootlegs.... its just that hh ones are usually [censored] so are more known for it....

Yep.

It's because, the harder the music, the greater the drugged-up-student following. The more people try to make a given style of music, the harder people have to try to make their tune sound different. So those who have no musical ideas stoop to gimmicks.

 

It's a bit like the way heavy metal tends to appeal to younger, pseudo-rebellious crowds. The novelty of "extreme" music wears off eventually.
