Hiya just picked up digital camera in town, on special deal.

 

But just tried to install the cmaera driver so i can download pics to my PC and it says its not been "microsoft logo passed" or something. So it wont let me install it.

 

Im totally lost, and want to play with my new toy. Im getting really frustrated.

 

Please help if you know what the craic is.

Oh yeah, and its sayin that its only compatable with Windows 98, but it says in the manual that its compatable with XP aswell. (I have XP)

too fuckin rite!! i mean why do it ureself when others will do it for u!! hmm... that aint useless thats just lazy and dependent!!

2 options

 

i) Go to the manufacturers website, see if they have released an XP driver

ii) When it says that the driver hasn't been passed, tell it to install it anyway...if you don't get this option, you need to change the settings in windows to let you do this, but I ain't sure where that option is.

It has this option but ive tried it.

 

When i installed it anyway it installed ok, but then once it had finished and i had rebooted, clicked my computer, there was no option to download from camera.

 

Im lost.

It also depends on the camera, som e cameras act as an "extra drive", so it will appear in my computer as an e: or f: drive, wheras others act like a scanner, and you have to "acquire" the images into some image editing software

Looks as though i will never get to use the bastard thing.
