haha, that's average i would say. some weekends i don't go out, some i could go out three nights in a row, or even right the way from wednesday through to sunday. the weekend just gone came pretty close to £70 for me, and next weekend is T in the Park, so that'll be close to £150.

 

agree with what Maria says - end of the day it's worth the investment as long as you're having a good time, but i would add that you've got to have the memories to show for it. if you're getting [censored]-up every weekend to the point where you can't remember much anyway, or you're floating around the dancefloor in a semi-coma, what's the point wasting your money? you might have occupied yourself for a few hours but afterwards you'll remember very little, and personally i don't know whether that's worth paying for. you can quite easily entertain yourself with a curry & a vid for far cheaper, and you'll probably remember it!

About 2 years ago when I used to club in my area - id probly spend about £15 on a saturday night.

 

I appreciate spending so much more on a weekend though these days.

main thing is that i don't have to get transport anywhere; town's very close from my flat so i can walk anywhere i need to go. club entry may be anywhere between £5 and £15, but i quite often try and get friendly with the promoters and blag it! i drink before i go out, bottle of vodka goes a long way, or 8.4% cider.... then a tenner for drinks inside. another thing i've learned to do is mix your drinks (in moderation). it can totally [censored] you up if you overdo it, but it keeps things cheap. for example:

 

take 1 x pint of beer, add a double nip of vodka. you will get rat-arsed quite easily, and most importantly, cheaply.

 

when i used to go out back home in Wakefield on drinking nights out and pub crawls, one single Friday night out could easily cost me upwards of £50, as getting a taxi home to my village at the end of the night would cost close to £20 anyway. i find going out to clubs is actually cheaper than any traditional pubbing night out, even though the drinks are way more expensive, because the focus is not on the drink but on the tunes.

me and my boyfriend actually worked this out the other day.

i go to sundissential ABOUT 4 times a month and i take £60 each time. i spend about £3120 a year on Sundissential. fahking hell i should have shares in that place!

plus if i include my clothes u buy and dummies and glow sticks etc its about another £200

 

 

grand total of £3220 a year
