This is not a good day. Just had a nice long chat with the people at the university and immigration and it seems I cannot be considered a home student until I have been on my current visa for 4 years. I changed to this visa 1.5 years ago as I didnt know about the UK Ancestry visa when I got here. Basically I cannot apply to go to university as a home student until the summer of 2006 to start in October 2006. Im absolutely devastated. This fucks up my whole [censored] life. Like I want to apply and go when I am 30.

aawww thanks guys! although its really bad news i will just have to keep doing my job as i can go home and work in any social work field after 4 years anyways so in 2.5 years time i will decide what to do. life is full of good and bad surprises. you just have to go with the flow.
